About the Role

Chaplain at Providence St. Joseph Hospital Orange in Orange, CA. This position is full-time and will work 8-hour, Variable shifts.

The Chaplain provides professional and competent spiritual care ministry, and is responsible for serving the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of others in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. As a member of the healthcare team, the chaplain is directly responsible for the implementation of the mission, values, policies, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility in which they serve.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and competent spiritual care ministry.
• Serve the spiritual, religious, and emotional needs of others in inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
• Implement the mission, values, policies, and procedures of the Department of Spiritual Health Services and the facility.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Theology, Divinity, Spirituality, Pastoral Ministry or relevant religious studies similarly accepted in chaplaincy board certifying organizations or equivalent education/experience.
• Coursework/Training: Four clinical pastoral education units.
• Within 3 years of hire: National Chaplain Certification.

Pay

Pay Range: $31.43 - $48.08. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors.
