Responsibilities
- Rotating between Yukon & Edmond locations
- Visits newly admitted patients and their families to offer support, spiritual assistance and assess the need for return visits
- Responds to all calls for chaplaincy services including crisis calls, requests for patients and families and referrals from hospital staff
- Serves as a group leader for support groups designed to help persons cope with traumatic events in their lives
- Led education and training events; and teaches in the clinical pastoral education program
- Captures the planning and implementation of worship for special services in the hospital
- Represents INTEGRIS Health at denominational and community meetings
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Clinical Pastoral Education (1 unit preferred on hire; expectation to complete 1 unit within 12 months of hire if not already complete on hire).
- Board certification (or eligible for certification) by Association of Professional Chaplains (APC) or College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy (CPSP).
- If not Board Certified at time of hire, must complete Board Certification within 18 months of hire.
- Endorsement by a recognized faith community and ordination by a recognized faith community
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of experience in hospital setting
- Master’s of Divinity from a seminary accredited by the Association of Theological Schools or a similarly credentialed accrediting agency
