Overview

The Channel Marketing Specialist supports the execution and delivery of marketing programs for Fortress Building Products. This role will manage inventory for samples, displays, and marketing literature, work directly with third-party fulfillment vendors, lead the Co-op program, and coordinate trade shows.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate and assist in planning, developing, and executing trade shows, conferences, customer meetings, and other events.
  • Maintain current contact lists, including contractors, dealers, distributors, etc., and manage mailing and email lists.
  • Aid in preparing and coordinating special promotional programs, including writing and content development for literature and related materials.
  • Work with team members to gather performance data, evaluate program effectiveness, and help deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Assist with budget tracking for events, meetings, and projects, providing invoices to Accounting for payment.
  • Track and control inventory of all promotional materials.
  • Occasionally serve as a marketing representative on cross-functional teams.
  • Provide timely product and marketing support to external customers.
  • Offer administrative support to the Marketing Manager.
  • Assist with basic graphic needs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in marketing with a proven track record of success.
  • Experience in the building products industry a plus.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others to achieve results.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with and experience using Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat.
