Change Project Manager
About the role
The University of Georgia is seeking a Project Manager to lead a major ERP transformation. This is a limited term position with an initial duration of 2 to 3 years, ending December 2028. The position may be extended contingent upon project needs and funding.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and documentation, and tracking tools for projects
Coordinate project activities across functional and technical teams to support timely completion of deliverables
Monitor progress, risks, and issues; provide regular status updates, recommend solutions and escalate concerns as appropriate
Facilitate meetings, document actions items, and ensure alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations
Prepare and deliver regular project status updates, reports, and communications to leadership and stakeholders
Develop and execute change management strategies and communication plans to support project initiatives
Create and manage communication plans for stakeholders to ensure clear, consistent, and timely messaging
Support stakeholder engagement and readiness activities
Design and develop training materials and resources
Coordinate and deliver training sessions as needed
Support end-user adoption, gather feedback for improvements, and recommend process and/or system enhancements
Serve as a liaison between functional and technical teams as well as campus stakeholders
Facilitate collaboration and ensure alignment across groups
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
- 2 years of professional experience
- 2+ years of experience in project management, change management, or related roles supporting or leading ERP implementations or other large-scale system transformations
- Certification in project or change management
- 2+ years of experience working in higher education, public sector, or similarly complex organizational environments
- 2+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- 2+ years of experience coordinating cross-functional teams in fast-paced, evolving environments
- 2+ years of experience working with a Project Management System
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies
- Excellent facilitation skills along with written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs
- Strong ability to influence without direct authority and build relationships across various stakeholder groups
- Knowledge of Workday, Smartsheet, and/or PeopleSoft
Skills

$55,006 - $82,509 commensurate with experience
Schedule
Monday – Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
