Change Management Specialist, Finance Transformation

About the Role

This role focuses on managing the people side of change during finance modernization initiatives within the Finance Transformation Office. The Change Management Specialist fosters positive change, builds trust, and ensures smooth adoption of new systems and processes through tailored communication, patience, and a human-centered approach.

Responsibilities

• Engage with finance teams to understand current processes, frustrations, and knowledge gaps.
• Translate strategic objectives into clear, relatable messages for staff.
• Design practical resources like guides and quick-reference materials to facilitate adoption.
• Support process improvements, gather feedback, and measure system adoption.
• Foster trust and handle resistance with empathy, curiosity, and negotiation skills.
• Assist in transitioning users to new systems and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in change management or organizational development, especially in legacy or high-tenure environments.
• Understanding of finance or accounting functions.
• Familiarity with change models like Prosci or ADKAR.
• Strong communication, empathy, patience, tenacity, and active listening abilities.
• Creative problem-solving, conflict resolution, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.

Qualifications

• Educational background in Psychology, Communications, Business, or relevant certifications preferred.
