About the role
The Change Management Lead plays a critical role in client engagements by designing and executing change strategies that drive adoption, engagement, and proficiency during large-scale business and technology transformations. This role focuses on the people side of change—helping organizations minimize resistance, prepare employees, and sustain long-term outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end change management strategy and execution across communications, stakeholder engagement, training, readiness, adoption, and post–go-live support
- Develop and manage structured, project-specific change plans (communications, training, resistance management, sponsor and coaching roadmaps, readiness assessments)
- Partner closely with project managers, delivery leads, and cross-functional teams to integrate change activities into overall project plans
- Identify and manage stakeholders, assess change impacts, anticipate resistance, and recommend mitigation actions
- Track and analyze adoption, utilization, and proficiency metrics; adjust strategies as needed
- Build and lead Change Champion/Agent networks to drive engagement and momentum
- Support leaders and managers in executing employee-facing change activities
- Lead project change teams, including internal staff and contractors
- Collaborate with client communications teams to deliver consistent, effective messaging
- Support development of training materials and employee experience strategies
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience leading organizational change for large-scale, technology-driven initiatives
- Strong expertise in change management methodologies, tools, and execution
- Experience working with complex organizations and diverse stakeholder groups
- Ability to analyze data, assess change impacts, and translate insights into actionable plans
- Strong collaboration, communication, and influence skills at all organizational levels
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Change certifications (e.g., CCMP, Prosci) required
- Utility industry experience preferred
Travel is required 30-50% of the year.
