About the role

Solairus Aviation is seeking a Full-Time Client Aviation Manager (CAM) to lead a flight department at the KSLC airport. Responsibilities

• Supervises assigned personnel to ensure compliance with Solairus, FAA, and other manuals, as well as applicable regulations.
• Monitors the personal appearance, dress code, and conduct of all assigned personnel to maintain high standards.
• Maintains a current read-and-file system for all Solairus Aviation memorandums.
• Coordinates, schedules, and reviews crew and maintenance personnel training with the appropriate training contractor.
• Coordinates maintenance test flights, training flights, and other flights not initiated by the client’s normal scheduling system.
• Develops scheduling procedures with clients to promote reliable and efficient aircraft scheduling.
• Approves and schedules Personal Time Off (PTO) for all assigned personnel through the flight coordinator.
• Updates the assigned flight coordinator regarding aircraft schedule changes and other matters affecting scheduling.
• Conducts meetings with personnel to coordinate activities, identify problems, answer questions, and promote employee goodwill.
• Approves expense accounts for assigned personnel.
• Participates in the interview process for all assigned personnel.
• Solicits input and/or approval from the Client Responsible Officer for substantive operational, personnel, and administrative issues.
• Notifies the Client Responsible Officer of anticipated needs for pilot relief.
• Submits written reports as required by Operations Manuals, with copies to the Client Responsible Officer.
• Revises all manuals and publications assigned to the aircraft.
• Maintains Training Currency and Monthly Flight Time Records for each crewmember in accordance with Solairus FOM procedures.
• Ensures timely submission of training records, medicals, and other operations data to flight operations.
• Promotes customer goodwill through high-quality service and professional demeanor.
• Upholds the business reputation, company image, and goodwill of Solairus Aviation.
• Actively participates in the Safety Management System (SMS) implementation and initiatives, and is familiar with SMS policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Total flight time: 3,000 hours
• PIC (Pilot in Command) time: 1,500 hours
• MEL (Multi-Engine Land) time: 1,500 hours
• MEL PIC time: 500 hours
• Turbo Jet time: 500 hours
• Instrument time: 250 hours
• Management background with a demonstrated track record of exceptional leadership skills
• NBAA CAM certification or other applicable leadership training (preferred)
• Experience in multiple facets of training for flight operations personnel
• Budget development and management experience
• College degree and/or advanced (non-flight) training
• Strong interpersonal communication skills
• Track record of contributing to environments implementing and extending industry “best practices” in flight operations
• Type rating on Challenger 604
• First-class medical certification
• Ability to work on an on-call basis
• Ability to complete ICAO International procedures training annually
• Must be located or willing to relocate within 2 hours of KSLC

Pay

Solairus crewmembers are paid between $50,000 and $500,000 based on geographic area, experience, equipment type/aircraft, job duties, training, and the assigned account.
