About the role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our core platform team. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining the backend services that power our analytics pipeline, processing millions of events per day. This is a high-impact role where you'll work closely with data scientists and product managers to deliver features that directly affect our customers' experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable microservices using Go and Python
• Optimize database queries and data ingestion pipelines for performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API contracts and data models
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure system uptime and rapid incident response
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain high quality standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong proficiency in Go or Python, with willingness to work in both
• Experience with distributed systems and message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and caching strategies (Redis)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience

Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Track record of shipping high-quality, production-ready code in agile environments
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote-first team

Pay

$160,000 – $190,000 per year, depending on experience and location
