About the role
The successful candidate will lead the Department of Radiology and serve as the Physician Executive for Enterprise Imaging Services at ChristianaCare, a large health system in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. They will be responsible for guiding clinical excellence, innovation, and the development of future radiology leaders.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership for all clinical, professional, and administrative functions of the department.
- Advance organizational goals for clinical excellence, access, and operational efficiency.
- Lead and support graduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, including the SVP of Cancer & Imaging Services, to drive strategic initiatives.
- Oversee and optimize an advanced clinical imaging data infrastructure to support outcomes, research, and performance improvement.
- Champion resource stewardship, ensuring effective utilization of imaging services across the system.
- Partner with administrative leaders on capital planning and operating budgets.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and belonging across multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- MD or DO required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Board Certification in Radiology or a Radiology subspecialty.
- Proven success in physician leadership, department management, and strategic execution.
- Experience leading within complex health systems or academic environments.
- A leader who balances data-driven decision-making with people-centered leadership.
