Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and innovative CFO for a client, a manufacturing company. This individual will play a crucial role in the financial decision-making that drives company’s overall strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement company-wide financial strategies and long-term business plans.
- Oversee all financial operations including budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and internal control systems.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the company.
- Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs and strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with financial partners, stakeholders, and investors.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.
- Oversee the DoD financial management system, ensuring compliance with regulations and effective management of resources.
- Lead the financial planning and budgeting processes.
- Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
- Manage capital request and budgeting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or related advanced degree is highly preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a CFO role, specifically for a publicly traded manufacturing company
- Proven experience with the Department of Defense (DoD) financial management systems.
- Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- Excellent leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Able to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Working knowledge of short and long-term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and product-line profitability analysis.
- Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
