About the role
The CFO will lead the organization's accounting, finance, and business operations functions. They will serve as a strategic advisor to ownership and executive leadership, playing a key role in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, operational improvement, and long-term planning.
Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting and finance operations
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage financial reporting and financial statement preparation
- Direct budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
- Develop and monitor KPIs and business performance metrics
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Oversee internal controls, risk management, and audit activities
- Publish with leadership on strategic planning and growth initiatives
- Manage banking relationships, treasury functions, and cash management
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to executive leadership
- Drive process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting and finance staff
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA preferred
- Progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience overseeing accounting, FP&A, budgeting, and treasury functions
- Proven leadership and team development skills
- Strong business acumen and strategic mindset
- Excellent communication and executive presentation abilities
- Hands-on approach with the ability to operate both strategically and tactically
