CFO

About the role

The CFO will manage the accounting, human resources, and IT functions, involved in all areas of the business.

Responsibilities

• Review and mentor staff
• Monthly financials, reports
• Maximize profitability
• Track 1099s for year-end reporting to the CPA
• Step in to help with AP, AR, payroll as needed
• Monitor and update ACH payments
• Personal financials for the owner to banks
• HR responsibilities: Open enrollment for 7/1 annually (Group Medical, Flexible Spending accounts, Dental, Vision, benefits changes, FMLA, termination letters)
• Audit payroll before release to ensure no missing pieces
• Additional duties as required/assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Accounting required
• Full GL ownership; monthly close and financial statement prep
• Executive maturity and resilience; able to work directly with owner and navigate high-trust/visibility environment
• Advanced Excel (analysis, automation potential, pivot tables); systems savvy and process improvement mindset
