About The Role
Aid in the production of steel products by performing various duties such as housekeeping, adhering to safety protocols, cutting steel, and moving materials within the facility. Responsibilities include cutting welded assemblies to blueprint specifications.
Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers

- Detect and reconcile discrepancies

- Read production drawings
- Have clear knowledge of basic measurements and the ability to read a tape measure accurately
- Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to safety policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as requested or required

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Must possess a welding certification
- Must be able to pass welding tests for GMAW and SMAW
- Previous work experience in cutting and welding

Pay
Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Shifts may vary depending on the needs of the operation, typically ranging from 8-hour shifts to 12-hour shifts.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
- Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
- Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
- Work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
- Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (depending on location)
- Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area
