About the role
BlackRock Resources is seeking a Certified Welder for a long-term contract opportunity in Westwego, LA.
Responsibilities
- Perform certified structural welding on barges and related repairs
- Complete air pressure testing and repair leaks as needed
- Maintain welding equipment and leads
- Assist fitters and work independently with minimal supervision
- Follow all safety and quality standards
Requirements
- TWIC Card required
- AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Certification (or equivalent U.S. Coast Guard-approved certification)
- Experience with Stick (SMAW) and MIG (GMAW) welding
- Experience with structural welding, fabrication, and barge repair
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
