Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or other welding processes on various materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements, joint configurations, and material types.
- Fabricate metal parts and components based on project specifications, ensuring proper alignment and fit.
- Inspect welded joints and completed assemblies for structural integrity, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. Ensure compliance with welding codes and regulations (e.g., AWS, ASME).
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working order.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Work closely with other team members, including fabricators, machine operators, and quality control personnel, to ensure the timely completion of projects.
- Identify and troubleshoot welding issues and defects in materials or techniques to minimize errors and rework.
- Record work completed, including materials used, welding processes, and time spent on tasks. Maintain accurate logs of all welding procedures and inspections.
Qualifications
- Valid certification only provided by Cashco.
- Previous welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs, work in a physically demanding environment, and be comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Strong understanding of welding safety procedures and the ability to follow established protocols.
- Strong focus on accuracy and quality in all work performed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
- Ability to identify issues quickly and propose solutions to ensure minimal downtime and rework.
