Responsibilities
- Perform advanced Internal Medicine procedures, including endoscopy, anesthesia and anesthetic monitoring, medical calculations, and a variety of drug protocols
- Collaborate with veterinarians and team members to provide exceptional patient care
- Contribute insights that can make a meaningful difference in patient care and team success
- CPR and use of EzyVet and SmartFlow (experience a plus)
Requirements
- 3-5 years Veterinary Technician experience
- Associates in Veterinary Technology (a plus)
- CVT license required for sign-on bonus
- Knowledge of anesthesia and monitoring
- Phlebotomy skills
- Knowledge of procedures for scheduling patients, receiving, treating, ordering medical supplies, and requesting laboratory tests
- Knowledge of the use, care, and storage of veterinary instruments, materials, and equipment
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques for instruments and materials
- Knowledge of instruments, materials, and standardized procedures for providing tableside assistance
- Understanding of client needs assessment, service quality standards, and client satisfaction evaluation
- Strong command of the English language, including spelling, grammar, and composition
- Ability to work independently and accept direction on assignments
- Must be 18 years or older
Schedule
- Full-time position: 4 days a week / 10-hour shifts
- Some holidays required
Pay
- Starting at $26.50-$32.00/hour dependent upon experience and education
- Additional compensation for VTS certification
- Sign-on bonus: $1,000
