Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT)

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our dynamic team at Hopkinton Animal Hospital. Our hospital is AAHA-accredited and staffed with a high number of Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs) and Fear Free Professionals. We are dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to our diverse patient population, which includes dogs, cats, and a significant number of exotic pets.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures
• Administer medications and treatments
• Perform diagnostic tests and monitor patient vital signs
• Provide pre- and post-operative care
• Handle administrative tasks such as charting and billing
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current certification as a Veterinary Technician (VTS) or ability to obtain within one year
• Experience in a veterinary setting preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
