Certified Veterinary Technician
About the role
Elm Creek Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team. Our technicians play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care during surgical and dental procedures. They are responsible for coordinating and executing precise treatment plans, preparing animals for surgery, assisting in the OR, and performing dental procedures. The surgery duties/days are on rotation. When not in the OR, they will room clients, assist with diagnostics and vaccines.
Responsibilities
- Maintain detailed surgical records
- Review and implement treatment plans
- Address client questions regarding their pets' care
- Work closely with the team to manage veterinarians' orders
- Maintain high standards of patient care while managing an efficient workflow
Requirements
- 3+ years of veterinary experience in a clinical setting
- Current Veterinary Technician License in the state of Minnesota
- Proficiency in:
- Surgical set up
- Radiology technique and positioning
- Venipuncture, intramuscular and subcutaneous injections
- Laboratory experience
- Rooming patients
- Inpatient care

Pay
- Compensation: $26-$28 per hour, for each hour worked*
- Bonus package: $2000
- CE allowance: $500 the first year, $1,000 annually thereafter
Schedule
- 4/10s schedule
- Monday-Friday with 1-2 Saturdays a weekend on rotation
