Certified Veterinary Technician

About the role

Magic Valley Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician to join our team!

This is an excellent opportunity for skilled, outgoing technicians who want to fully utilize their education and expertise while making meaningful connections with clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
• Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication.
• Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.
• Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarians orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Requirements

• 1+ years of veterinary technician experience
• Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Idaho
• Proficiency in the following skills:
• Client communication
• Anesthesia monitoring
• IVC placement
• Blood draws
• Outpatient care

• Compensation: $17-19 per hour, for each hour worked*

Pay

Compensation: $17-19 per hour, for each hour worked*

Schedule

This is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday with 1 weekend shift a month.
