Certified Veterinary Technician

About the role

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care during surgical and dental procedures - including anesthesia monitoring, patient prep and recovery, and dental cleanings and radiographs.
• Ensure efficient exam room workflow and outstanding client communication.
• Review treatment plans, provide discharge instructions, and address client questions with empathy and clarity.
• Collaborate with your team to support the veterinarians orders during outpatient visits, ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Requirements

• 3+ years of veterinary technician experience
• Active and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Mississippi
• Proficiency in the following skills:
• Anesthesia induction and monitoring
• Dental prophylaxis
• Cystocentesis
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Microscope evaluation
• Subcutaneous (SC) and intramuscular (IM) injections

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current and active certification as a Veterinary Technician in Mississippi

• Full-time
• Flexible scheduling: 5/8s or 4/10s
• Monday-Friday with some Saturdays
