About the Role

Join a well-established, six-doctor, AAHA-accredited veterinary practice.

Responsibilities

  • Aid veterinarians with patient exams, treatments, and procedures.
  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care.
  • Practice Fear Free and low-stress patient handling techniques.
  • Safely handle and restrain canine, feline, exotic, and pocket pet patients.
  • Support diagnostic testing and patient monitoring.
  • Assist with surgical procedures and anesthesia monitoring.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient medical records.
  • Educate clients and clearly communicate veterinary recommendations.
  • Listen patiently as clients explain their pets' needs.
  • Explore and support services including acupuncture, holistic treatments, laser therapy, and behavior counseling.
  • Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and efficient hospital environment.

Requirements

  • Previous veterinary technician experience or current veterinary technician licensure.
  • Strong patient care and veterinary technical skills.
  • A passion for pets and high-quality veterinary medicine.
  • Experience assisting with exams, treatments, and procedures.
  • Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and patient care.
  • Strong animal handling and restraint skills.
  • An interest in Fear Free and low-stress handling techniques.
  • Excellent client communication and education skills.
  • A positive, supportive, and team-focused attitude.
  • The ability to work collaboratively and treat teammates with mutual respect.
  • A willingness to learn and explore new areas of veterinary medicine.
  • An appreciation for the unique personalities and skills every team member brings.
  • A commitment to providing outstanding patient care and exceptional client service.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's degree in veterinary technology or related field.
  • Licensure: Current veterinary technician license in good standing.
  • Skills: Proficiency in electronic medical record systems, CPR for animals, and basic first aid.
