About the role
Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a pet adoption center. Oversee the placement of pets into new homes, manage staff, and ensure compliance with local animal welfare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the adoption process, including screening potential adopters and coordinating adoptions.
- Manage a team of adoption counselors and volunteers.
- Ensure all pets are spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.
- Collaborate with local shelters and rescue organizations to facilitate pet adoptions.
- Develop and implement policies to improve pet adoption rates and foster care programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Psychology, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in animal welfare or related field.
- Proven success in managing teams and implementing change.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of animal behavior and welfare.
- Experience with spay/neuter clinics and vaccination protocols.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
