Certified Veterinary Technician

About the role

Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of a pet adoption center. Oversee the placement of pets into new homes, manage staff, and ensure compliance with local animal welfare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the adoption process, including screening potential adopters and coordinating adoptions.
• Manage a team of adoption counselors and volunteers.
• Ensure all pets are spayed/neutered and vaccinated before adoption.
• Collaborate with local shelters and rescue organizations to facilitate pet adoptions.
• Develop and implement policies to improve pet adoption rates and foster care programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Psychology, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in animal welfare or related field.
• Proven success in managing teams and implementing change.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of animal behavior and welfare.
• Experience with spay/neuter clinics and vaccination protocols.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually.
