Duties And Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate an overall educational enrichment program for shelter residents during the school year.
- Assess youth at intake and each 20 days in reading and math utilizing the APEX website.
- Maintain sign-in sheet as documentation of each class period.
- Maintain behavior progress notes on each youth’s behavior during the education programs.
- Work closely with Youth Advocates who provide additional assistance during class time.
Qualifications
- Teaching Certificate Required, prefer K-12 or 5-9 grades, special education a plus.
- Pass a drug screen and maintain current TB card.
- Current Arkansas Driver’s license and insurable under OCC’s commercial vehicle insurance policy.
- Child maltreatment clearance through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry.
- Adult maltreatment clearance through the Arkansas Adult Maltreatment Central Registry.
- Arkansas State Police criminal background clearance as mandated by Arkansas Department of Human Services.
- Minimum Licensing Standards for Child Welfare Agencies.
