Part Time Certified Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and creative part-time teacher to join our team in Conroe, TX for the school year. This unique position involves working in a residential eating disorder facility, providing academic support to adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

Most class sizes range from 8 to 15 students at any one time.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver daily lesson plans
• Provide individualized assistance to students
• Regularly communicate about student progress as needed
• Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success
• Maintain accurate attendance and session reports

Requirements

• B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
• Active Texas teaching license
• Comfortable working with 7th–12th grade students
• Ability to assist with upper-level Math and Science
• Strong organizational skills
• Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
• Reliable transportation

Schedule

Year-round, 20-hour per week commitment, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM (or 7:30 AM–11:30 AM, depending on candidate preference).
