Responsibilities
- Intuitive Surgical Partnership: Act as the "right hand" to our surgeons by anticipating every move. With elite focus and a proactive mindset, you’ll ensure the exact instrument or supply is ready before it’s even requested.
- Patient Advocacy in Motion: You are a critical guardian of the patient’s journey. From precision positioning to meticulous draping, you ensure safety, dignity, and clinical excellence at every stage of the procedure.
- Guardian of Accuracy: Take ownership of the sterile field with masterfully organized workflows. By maintaining 100% accuracy in instrument and sponge counts, you serve as the final word in patient safety from incision to closure.
Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Per Tennessee Code (TCA) 68-57-101(a), non-certified applicants must have 18 months of surgical technologist experience in the 3 years preceding 5/21/07; or began the appropriate surgical technologist training prior to 5/21/07 and completed by 5/21/10.
- Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR
- Associate's degree/Technical degree OR
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
