Responsibilities

  • Prepare the stage for a safe arrival by expertly setting up delivery rooms and surgical suites with the specialized sterile instruments needed for both natural and operative births.
  • Empower the obstetric team through foresight by anticipating the surgeon’s or midwife’s needs during deliveries, ensuring a seamless flow of care during every stage of labor.
  • Advocate for maternal and neonatal safety by managing the sterile field with uncompromising precision, ensuring all equipment is accounted for during the transition from delivery to postpartum care.
  • Facilitate rapid-response surgical care by maintaining a constant state of readiness for emergency procedures, ensuring the team can move from a room to the OR in seconds to protect mother and baby.

Requirements

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Schedule

Full-time day shift, 7:00am-7:00pm, three 12-hour shifts
