Certified Surgical Tech III Lead

About the Role

The Certified Surgical Technologist III supports the operating room team by preparing sterile supplies and equipment for surgical procedures while performing direct patient care duties in adherence to procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sterile supplies and assist in surgical procedures
• Ensure patient safety
• Demonstrate advanced knowledge and critical thinking skills to provide appropriate care considering patient and family needs
• Maintain sterile environments
• Ensure compliance with procedural and safety standards

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program
• At least 6 months of experience as a CST
• Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (must maintain certification)
• Current BLS certification
• Physical ability to perform job functions, including lifting up to 50 lbs, working in confined spaces, and standing for extended periods
• Good vision, hearing, fine and gross motor skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, and in various environments
