Certified Surgical Tech (CST) - L&D

Job Summary

The Certified Surgical Technologist demonstrates basic knowledge and skills in the scrub role, necessary to provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department. The job shift is Nights and the type is Full Time.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate aseptic technique
• Set up required equipment, instrumentation, and sterile supplies as needed for assigned cases
• Scrub and pass instruments and equipment during surgical procedures
• Pull cases as needed
• Break down cases at the end of the procedure
• Set up operating room and supplies needed for day/following day’s schedule
• Available for call on an assigned scheduled basis as required by unit need
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Education: Required - Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology program. Preferred - Associate degree
• Experience: Preferred - 1 year
• Certifications: Required - AHA BLS. Surgical Technology certification
