Responsibilities
- Absolutely checks required supplies and equipment prior to case.
- Assembles appropriate supplies/equipment prior to operative procedures.
- Reviews equipment inventory for specialty as assigned.
- Sets up operative instrumentation/sterile field for expedient retrieval/utilization.
- Cleans equipment and facilities as necessary.
- Performs housekeeping duties as requested.
- Transports patients according to unit schedules and priorities.
- Completes instrument, sponge, needle and blade counts with the Registered Nurse (RN) according to established standards.
- Sets up/maintains neat and orderly sterile field demonstrating careful attention to aseptic technique.
- Limits solutions according to established standards.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
- Scrub technician experience: Preferred
- Operating room experience and/or training course: Preferred
- Surgery Technician certification: Preferred
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification: Preferred
- Facility Specific License/Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
Qualifications
- Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred Scrub technician experience: Preferred Operating room experience and/or training course: Preferred

Pay
The estimated base pay for this position is $32.79 to $42.79. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
