About the role

The Central Service Technician supports the total health care team at MultiCare Health System by performing tasks such as cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging instruments, maintaining inventory, and transporting supplies and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the total health care team by cleaning, sterilizing, and packaging instruments
  • Maintains inventory and transports supplies and equipment
  • Works cooperatively with team members and follows established procedures
  • Performs tasks independently and prioritizes multiple tasks

Requirements

  • High School graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Completion of Central Service Technician course of study or completion of healthcare organization training program (military training or experience satisfies this requirement for WA state employees, per Title 18 RCW)
  • In lieu of formal training, candidates with a nationally recognized certification (e.g., CRCST) and/or a minimum of one (1) year of recent sterile processing experience preferred
  • Central Service Certification or commitment to obtain within one year of hire, as required by location
  • Minimum one (1) year of related experience preferred

Pay and Benefits

The starting salary range for this position is $26.67 - $44.05 USD. Factors influencing pay include skill set, experience, and certifications. For positions associated with union contracts, pay scales reflect appropriate steps based on years of experience.
