We are seeking a STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN to join our staff. Resurgens Fayette is a single-specialty orthopedic surgery practice. These important job-specific job duties for these technicians may include: Cleaning and sterilizing equipmentPackaging and/or preparing equipment for useOperating medical equipment as neededInspecting medical equipment for functionality and sterilizationMaintaining inventory of medical equipmentEnsuring medical procedure rooms are sterileOrganizing medical equipmentTransporting prepared equipmentRecording test results for sterilizationUsing and maintaining autoclaves for sterilization Required Skills: Must be a Sterile Processing and Distribution TechnicianHigh School Diploma or Equivalent2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.Experience with all types of sterilizers.Knows operating room instrumentation.Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.Understands Sterrad sterilizers.Ability to prepare reports and keep records.Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.1 year of central sterile processing in an acute settingIAHCSMMcertification or similar national certification
