Certified Respiratory Therapist

About the role

Provide specialized respiratory care in a high-acuity, critical care environment, including managing mechanical ventilation, oxygen therapy, and airway procedures. May serve as Lead Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP), overseeing shift operations in the absence of a supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Perform pulmonary diagnostics and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Implement and adjust patient care plans.
• Document interventions and patient responses.
• Respond to respiratory and medical emergencies.

Requirements

• Valid State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory care.
• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.

Schedule

Full-time night shifts.
