Independently uses and documents the nursing process to plan, deliver, and evaluate goal focused, individualized, safe, age specific care for all patients including those with complex pathophysiological needs and/or psychosocial needs. Seeks to understand and incorporate both safe practices and evidence-based practices into daily nursing care. Maintains compliance with regulatory standards regarding practice, environment, and documentation. Directs and delegates nursing care based on patient acuity and staff competency that is consistent with the nurse’s obligation to provide optimum patient care. General Summary
Administers intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. Potentially administers anesthesia to all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.

Required and maintains currency of: Clinical Privileges State of Michigan RN License State Specialty Certification CRNA Certification ALS Certification BLS Certification
