Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Part Time Detroit
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our anesthesia care team.
About the role
The CRNA will administer intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render persons insensible to pain during surgical procedures, obstetrical deliveries, or other medical and dental procedures. May administer anesthesia to all ages and A.S.A. classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.
Work environment includes 25 operating rooms (expanding to 28 in 2027) plus multiple offsite locations. No call, no overnight shifts, and minimal weekend requirements (one weekend shift every 4–6 weeks). Latest shift ends at 9:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop tailored anesthesia care plans.
- Administer anesthesia (general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care) in collaboration with surgeons and other healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients during procedures and manage any anesthesia-related complications.
- Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management.
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Current RN license and CRNA certification (NBCRNA).
- Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
- Graduation from an accredited school of anesthesia.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work harmoniously in collaborative situations with anesthesiologists and other healthcare providers.

Schedule
- Part-time hours
- Two shifts per week: 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM
- One weekend shift every 4–6 weeks
