Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Detroit 36 Hours

$40,000 sign-on bonus for Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), including experienced and new graduates.

About the role

The CRNA will administer intravenous, inhalation, and regional anesthetics to render patients insensible to pain during surgical, obstetrical, or other medical and dental procedures. May provide anesthesia to all ages and ASA classes of patients, including geriatrics and pediatrics. Provides airway management services as needed throughout the hospital.

Work environment includes 25 operating rooms (expanding to 28 in 2027) plus multiple offsite locations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and develop tailored anesthesia care plans.
• Administer anesthesia (general, regional, or monitored anesthesia care) in collaboration with surgeons and other healthcare providers.
• Monitor patients during procedures and manage any anesthesia-related complications.
• Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

Schedule

• Full-time, rotating shifts.
• One weekend shift every 4–6 weeks.
• Two shifts per schedule ending at 9:30 pm (9 am–9:30 pm).
• No call, no overnight shifts, minimal weekend shifts.

Requirements

• Current RN license and CRNA certification (NBCRNA).
• Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program.
• Graduation from an accredited school of anesthesia.
• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with anesthesiologists and other healthcare providers.

Certifications/Licensures

• State of Michigan RN License.
• State Specialty Certification (CRNA).
• ALS Certification.
• BLS Certification.
• Must maintain currency of clinical privileges.
