About the role
The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Department of Anesthesia is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality anesthesia care to a complex patient population.
- Work directly under the supervision of Adult Anesthesiologists and as part of a team of highly trained and dedicated professionals.
- Participate in various surgical specialties including Cardiac, Whipple, Neurosurgery, and Regional Pain teams.
- Perform procedures such as placement of central lines, arterial lines, fiber optic intubation, neuraxial anesthesia, and double lumen endotracheal tube placement.
- Join specialty teams and participate in teaching opportunities.
Requirements
- Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA).
- Master’s degree in Anesthesiology or Master’s degree in Nursing.
- Board certification for CRNA candidates.
- Previous CAA/CRNA experience in Adult Anesthesiology or Adult Health Care experience preferred.
- Wisconsin licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- AHA BCLS and/or ACLS certifications.
Qualifications
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of anesthesia techniques and protocols.

- Effective problem-solving abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using anesthesia equipment and monitoring devices.

Pay

Schedule
Variety of schedules available, including 1 week on/1 week off, 3x13 hour shifts, same day off each week, etc.
