About the role

Summey Medical Pavilion OR platform consists of 4 OR suites and 2 minor procedure rooms covering surgical specialties including ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Dental, Urology, Plastics, General Surgery, and Endoscopy. The facility serves the pediatric population up to age 18, as well as some women's services. Anesthesia staff on site include MDAs, CRNAs, AAs, and Anesthesia Residents. All surgery is performed on an outpatient basis. The ambulatory surgery facilities are part of the MUSC Magnet designation, Joint Commission Accredited, and uphold the highest level of pediatric care possible.

Responsibilities

• Prepares prescribed solutions and administers anesthetic following specified methods and procedures.
• Informs the physician of patient's condition during anesthesia.
