Job Description
CRNAs perform pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluations, review and order diagnostic studies, obtain informed consent, select and administer anesthesia and pain management services, document peri-anesthetic care, manage airway management, facilitate patient recovery, provide post-anesthesia care, and manage pain management. They also educate patients and caregivers, consult with respiratory care providers, and participate in quality meetings.
Success Profile
A successful CRNA demonstrates strong leadership, effective communication, compassion, problem-solving skills, motivation, and good listening abilities. They must have 8-12 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with 5 years of CRNA experience preferred. CRNAs should be able to operate and interpret data from a wide variety of equipment, communicate effectively with various clinical staff, and maintain confidentiality.
