About the role

The Recovery Support Services Division of Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) to support individuals in recovery from substance use disorders. The CRS serves as a mentor, role model, advocate, and motivator, helping individuals prevent relapse and achieve long-term recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in initiating and sustaining recovery through peer-based services
  • Aid in connecting to community-based recovery supports and resources
  • Facilitate regular one-on-one recovery sessions focused on goals, strengths, and wellness
  • Promote self-advocacy, independence, and personal responsibility
  • Collaborate with treatment teams, families, and community partners
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and offer a recovery-focused perspective
  • Encourage participation in sober social, recreational, educational, and vocational activities
  • Support individuals in rebuilding healthy relationships
  • Advocate for individuals while fostering skill-building and independence
  • Connect individuals to: Mutual-help groups, Social and volunteer opportunities, Employment resources
  • Provide recovery education based on individual needs and recovery stage
  • Serve as a positive role model when clinically appropriate
  • Maintain recovery stability and assist with referrals as needed
  • Help individuals overcome common early recovery barriers
  • Develop and update individualized recovery plans
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation of services and outcomes
  • Attend required trainings, meetings, and continuing education

Requirements

  • Active Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) certification (required at time of hire)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a substance use or behavioral health setting
  • 1 year of direct peer support experience preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Completion of 18 hours annually
  • Completion of 30 hours over a two-year certification cycle
  • Must meet PCB CRS recertification standards

  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries, ethics, and confidentiality
  • Strong rapport-building skills using lived experience
  • Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
  • Effective communication, interpersonal, and motivational skills

Pay

Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Schedule

Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
