Certified Police Officer (Full-Time & Part-Time)

Salary

• Full-Time: $31.25/hour ($65,000 per year) plus benefits
• Part-Time: $30.00/hour (minimum of 16 hours per month required to remain on roster) plus PTO

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age
• U.S. Citizen
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Illinois Driver’s License, with good driving record
• Valid Illinois FOID Card
• Currently certified and eligible for a waiver with Illinois ILETSB
• Military must submit proof of an Honorable Discharge
• No felony convictions or any convictions of moral turpitude
• No professional conduct reports, terminations, or history of domestic violence
• Must pass an oral interview, physical exam, drug screen, and any other testing as deemed by the Village
• Must reside within 30 miles of Somonauk
