Job Summary
Wallowa Memorial Rehabilitation Therapy Clinic is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our rehabilitation team.
Responsibilities
- Administering physical therapy treatments as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assisting patients with therapeutic exercises, functional activities and mobility training
- Monitoring and documenting patient progress and response to treatment
- Communicating effectively with the Physical Therapist and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated care
- Educating patients and families on home exercises and safety strategies
- Ensuring treatment areas and equipment are clean, safe and properly maintained
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) required
- Current licensure to practice as a PTA in the State of Oregon required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required or ability to attain upon hire
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license required
- Strong commitment to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care in a collaborative environment
- Ability to meet the physical and functional requirements outlined in the job description
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check, drug screen and reference checks
