Certified Pharmacy Technician I - Part Time
Job Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of routine technical and clerical support tasks (e.g., medication dispensing, prescription filling, mail-out order processing) within pharmaceutical services operations as per established policies and procedures.
- Prepare unit dose medications, outpatient prescriptions, and intravenous admixtures to assist in the preparation and delivery of pharmaceutical supplies.
- Support in filing and maintenance of patient records as per procedures.
- Aid in ordering, stocking, and distribution of inventory throughout the pharmacy and the institution (e.g., nursing floor, emergency supply carts) while maintaining accurate levels of inventory as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.

Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required.
- Minimum of one year of hospital pharmacy experience preferred (e.g., parenteral/unit dose medication preparation, medication dispensing, inventory management, drug classifications).
- Some experience with software tools to maintain documentation/records preferred.
Skills
- Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Law: Registration of Pharmacy Technician License with the State of Tennessee required.
- Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by SJCRH Only: Pharmacy Technician Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) required.
- Apexus Certified Expert (ACE), Pharmacy Basic Life Support (CPR) preferred.

This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $20.50 - $34.50 per hour for the role of Certified Pharmacy Technician I - Part Time.
