Certified Pharmacy Technician Front Fill

Duties

• Picks, labels, scans and prepares prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist.
• Pulls, picks, and processes medications from shelving and storage areas.
• Accurately fills daily drug orders and assists in processing returned drugs.
• Prepares frequently ordered medications, labels, and stocks as needed.
• Alerts the pharmacist on duty about issues with scanning.
• Complies with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Prepares prescription deliveries and puts up orders from wholesalers.
• Participates in minimal non-sterile compounding.
• Enters new and refill prescriptions into the pharmacy system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy technician license required by state regulations and state of practice in good standing.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification.
• Previous work experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in long-term care.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Ability to work at a moderate speed and during inclement weather.
• Self-motivated, team player, and enjoys working in harmony with fellow team members.
• Passes background check and drug testing.
