Certified Pharmacy Technician Front Fill

Duties

• Picks, labels, scans, and prepares prescriptions for final verification by a pharmacist.
• Pulls, picks, and processes medications from shelving and storage areas.
• Accurately fills daily drug orders and assists in processing returned drugs.
• Prepares frequently ordered medications, labels, and stocks as needed.
• Alerts the pharmacist on duty about issues with scanning.
• Maintains a clean and organized workstation and replenishes supplies.
• Prepares prescription deliveries and puts up orders from wholesalers.
• Performs minimal non-sterile compounding and participates in inventory.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pharmacy technician license required by state regulations and state of practice in good standing.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification.
• Previous work experience in a pharmacy setting, preferably in long-term care.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Physical ability to stand and/or sit up to seven hours per day, reach, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, lift up to 10 pounds, and work during inclement weather.
• Self-motivated, team player, and enjoys working in a harmonious environment.
• Passes background check and drug testing.
