Position Highlights
Hours are Monday - Friday rotating between 5:00am - 1:30pm and 6:00am - 2:30pm. Every third weekend rotation. Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA in order to be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of medications.
- Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
- Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with federal, state and local laws/regulations and hospital policies.
- Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
Technical Capabilities
- Pharmaceutical Computer Literacy (Fundamental Awareness): Demonstrated basic understanding of computers or successfully completed training for applications supporting medication use processes.
- Pharmaceutical Drug Preparation, Dispensing & Distribution (Novice): Fundamental proficiency in reviewing, preparing, dispensing and distributing prescribed medications.
- Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance & Compliance (Novice): Working knowledge of applicable rules and regulations, facilitation of processes supporting rule application.
- Drug Inventory & Records Management (Novice): Fundamental proficiency in drug inventory and records management, ability to maintain appropriate inventory levels of medications.

Position Qualifications

- Experience: Less than 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Education: Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
