The Certified Pharmacy Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the interdisciplinary patient care team by providing pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with regulations, and educating patients.
Responsibilities
- Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions
- Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription in compliance with the guidelines of the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Providing instructions to educate people on the correct way to take their medicine
- Supporting the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy
- Protecting employees and patients by adhering to infection-control protocols and policies
- Performing inventory control, compliance audits, and financial transactions
- Maintaining pharmacy records
Requirements
- High School Degree or GED
- Valid ExCPT Certification provided by the National Health Career Association or Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification and registration with State Board of Pharmacy (required)
- Previous experience working in Retail, Ambulatory, Outpatient, Hospital, Acute Care, or Home Infusion Pharmacy (preferred)

Range: Minimum: $19.03 Maximum: $28.54
