About the role
Assist pharmacists under supervision in performing pharmacy duties, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. Utilize pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information, process prescriptions, and support inventory management. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, resolving issues, and building strong relationships. Support pharmacy operations, including prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, handling sales transactions, and managing clerical tasks such as claims processing and inventory control. Employment is open to qualified applicants with criminal records. The role emphasizes a customer-focused approach, adherence to safety and quality standards, and continuous professional development.
Responsibilities
- Engage and assist customers to ensure a positive experience.
- Support pharmacy operations including prescription entry, verification, and error reporting.
- Handle cash register operations and assist with OTC product location.
- Contribute to clinical services support, including sample collection and coordination with healthcare providers.
- Maintain a clean, organized pharmacy environment and stock supplies.
- Develop professional relationships within the healthcare community.
- Participate in training to maintain PTCB certification and stay current with industry developments.
Qualifications & Skills
- PTCB or ExCPT certification.
- Minimum one year of pharmacy technician experience in retail or hospital setting.
- Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
- Willingness to obtain immunization certification within 90 days.
- Preferred skills include prior experience with Walgreens, basic math, PC skills, and inventory control knowledge.
Pay
The salary range is $20.50 to $27.50 per hour.
Schedule
Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
