Certified Pharmacy Tech, Inpatient - Rotating Shift
Position Purpose
Aids pharmacists in preparing and distributing drugs, maintaining drug inventory, and charging and maintaining patient records. Possesses advanced knowledge in controlled substances, IV admixtures, and cytotoxic drugs. Works under pharmacist supervision.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- National pharmacy technician certification or enrollment in ACPE-approved pharmacy school program
- Registration with Maryland Board of Pharmacy
- Passes math/pharmaceutical calculation test
- One year of IV admixture and chemotherapy experience preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with hospital and pharmacy staff
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions and changes in workload
Pay Range
$22.83 - $31.96/hr. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under FLSA will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary based on location.
