General Summary
Reports to the Director of Elite Sport and Fitness.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
- Provides personalized training in accordance with individuals' needs and goals through a variety of athletically functional activities.
- Maintains nationally recognized certifications (e.g., CSCS, CPT, PES, CES) and completes required continuing education units.
- Receives & conveys messages appropriately and in a timely manner.
- Provides courteous, cooperative services to patients, visitors, and staff, demonstrating good communication skills.
- Recognizes any potential health risks or barriers to exercise during evaluations and manages them appropriately.
- Reports incidents, equipment malfunctions, and program-related issues to the department director.
- Affords assistance in performing various clerical functions, such as filing charts, making copies, faxing, etc.
- Maintains an orderly, sanitized, and safe work environment and keeps required cleaning records.
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in the field by reading relevant literature and attending conferences.
- Accurately completes processes for new patients, including accurate registration information.
- Completes required/requested tasks in a timely manner and without prompting.
- Participates in the Sport and Fitness improvement activities of the department.
- Performs work within specified time frames.
- Adapts positively to frequent changes and interruptions in workload and/or work schedules.
- Adheres to department policies and procedures.
- Uses time efficiently and productively to enhance department operations and the success of the department.
- Completes all competency/skills assessments and training as required.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
- Complies with the organizational attendance policy and use of the electronic timekeeping system.
- Complies with dress code.
- Works no less than 30 but no more than 40 hours a week, or 60-80 ppd.
- Works outside of normal business hours to accommodate client availability and Elite Sport and Fitness coverage, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, as required or needed.
- Manages time effectively given the workload and total hours per week changes based on client volumes.
- Communicates effectively with clients, Elite Sport and Fitness team, department peers, and directors, including checking and responding to phone calls, emails, and text messages on a daily basis.
