About the role

We are hiring for a Certified Peer Support Specialist at RHA Health Services. This position serves individuals with mental health and substance use challenges, and those with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role involves providing support, advocacy, and facilitating recovery processes.

Responsibilities

• Modeling effective coping and self-help techniques
• Empowering individuals with recovery skills and support
• Assisting in finding resources and resolving issues
• Leading peer support groups
• Supporting daily decision-making and problem-solving
• Fostering healthy relationships and community involvement
• Sharing personal recovery stories to inspire hope

Requirements

• Must be a Certified Peer Support Specialist in NC or PA
• One year experience working with individuals with behavioral health issues preferred
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
